The 200th anniversary of the first Greek constitution
This piece depicts the Asclepieion of Epidaurus, a sanctuary of healing, dedicated to the god Asclepius, his statue being depicted in front of the Asclepieion.
At the top of the coin is the inscription “ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ” meaning “Greek Republic”.
On the left and right of the piece are the vintages of the latter.
Below, under the Asclepieion is the mention “TO ΠPΩTO ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚO ΣYΝTAΓMA” meaning “The first Greek syntagm”.
