450th anniversary of Caravaggio
This piece represents the painting by Caravaggio named “Fanciullo con canestro di frutta” (The boy with the fruit basket).
The work, created in 1593 and exhibited today at the Borghese Gallery in Rome, shows Mario Minniti who was the model for many paintings by Caravaggio.
On the piece is present the mention “CITTA DEL VATICANO” as well as the mention CARAVAGGIO 1571 – 2021
